Work Screen questionnaires are very versatile and can be used in a number of different ways. This has been recognised by two occupational health departments, one in a large NHS trust in Scotland and the Department at the University of Leeds who are using WORKSCREEN as part of their initial assessments of staff.
The NHS occupational health service includes triage by Occupational Physiotherapists who will be using the Work Screen
questionnaires to help determine the urgency of the need for physiotherapy appointments for staff who are self referring to the service whilst continuing to work. "If we can establish which of our service users are experiencing high work instability and are therefore most at risk of going off sick this will help ensure that urgent appointment slots are allocated to those most in need" said the manager of the service. "I anticipate that using the Work Screen questionnaires at the beginning of any physiotherapy treatment and again at discharge will help us to evaluate the effectiveness of our service" she added.
